Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form on this site, we collect the information you choose to give us — your name, email address, and what kind of space you're enquiring about. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that message. We don't ask for sensitive information through this website.

How we use it

We use your information for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver and support your project. We don't sell your information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't add you to marketing lists without your consent.

How form submissions are handled

Our enquiry form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, which delivers your submission to our email. Your information passes through and is briefly held by that service for delivery. Formspree has its own privacy practices, which you can review on their website. We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to respond and maintain our records.

Client records

If your enquiry becomes a project, we record your contact details and project information in our business management system — this includes your name, email address, phone number, company name (where relevant), project scope, proposals, quotes, and invoices. We retain these records for as long as needed to manage your project and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Records can be deleted on request by emailing hello@velospatial.com.au, subject to any retention requirements imposed by law.

Our business management system is built on Google Firebase, a Google Cloud platform. Data is stored on Google infrastructure, which may be located outside Australia. Google processes this data under a data processing agreement and has its own security and privacy practices, which you can review at firebase.google.com. Access to client records is restricted to VELOSPATIAL staff and is not shared with third parties except as needed to deliver your project — for example, providing a site address to a trades partner — or where required by law.

Cookies & analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to collect basic, anonymised data about how pages are used — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and how long they stay. This helps us understand what content is useful and improve the site over time. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and may transfer data to Google's servers. We do not use this data for advertising and have not enabled any advertising or remarketing features. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data about your home or system

This privacy policy covers this website. The systems we design for clients are built local-first — meaning the data your home or space generates stays on hardware in the building by default, isn't sold, and isn't routinely accessed by us. The specific data and support arrangements for an installed system are set out separately in your project agreement.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just email hello@velospatial.com.au and we'll handle it. We aim to respond promptly. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
